Mornington Peninsula & Frankston Medicentre
opened in October 1986.
This practice was started by local doctors who saw a
need to provide an after-hours medical service to the residents of Frankston and the surrounding communities. The Medicentre is staffed by local doctors and operates
after-hours for the benefit of the community.
Our position within Frankston Hospital allows us to utilise a number of facilities such as radiology and pathology, which would otherwise be inaccessible after hours.
We have the facilities to provide GP based care, including treatment of minor injuries, sutures, plastering and minor procedures. The recent introduction of a Div1 nurse on weekends and public holidays has assisted Medicentre
to provide quality nursing care to our patients, as well
as lessen waiting times.
Medicentre is staffed by qualified, friendly medical receptionists, and co-ordinated by Jacquie, the
practice manager.
